Christ Church Guild
The Wesley Guild is an organisation, within the Methodist Church, which caters for men and women of all ages to meet, share their faith, look at the issues and needs of the local community and the wider world, enjoy cultural and artistic interests and participate in social activities.
The Guild does not have a membership as such. You are welcome to come as and when you are able, or when a particular topic or speaker is of interest to you.
At Halton, the Guild meets on Tuesday evenings at 8 o’clock, from September to Easter, and less frequently during the summer for social activities and fund-raising events.
The current winter session of the Guild is over and we start our summer programme with a Coffee Evening on Tuesday, 27th April. Everyone is invited to this event, whether or not they have been coming to the Guild during the winter. Coffee and cakes will be served from 7.30pm and in the course of the evening Peter and Elizabeth will show slides of their holiday in the Galapagos Islands and Ecuador.
Here are a few dates for your diary. The Plant Sale will be held on Thursday 20th, Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd May, and on Tuesday 25th May, we shall be holding another Coffee Evening when Rev. Marlene Wilkinson will be showing slides and speaking about her life in Tonga.
