CIRCUIT MISSIONS WEEK-END  -  6th and 7th MARCH 2010

On the Saturday night we had a wonderful concert presented to us by "Concordia and Friends", which comprised of the singing group Concordia and also some other singers who joined them from across the Circuit, to give us all an excellent evening.

Some of the songs were from previous Circuit events which had been held over a number of years, namely "Simeon", "Saints Alive", "A Grain of Mustardseed" and "Rock Nativity".  They also added to these by singing some songs from the London Musicals  -  "The Lion King" and "Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", which all added up to make a very good evenings entertainment.

Thank you to everyone who took part.

On the Saturday night we managed to raise the sum of £322.40 which has been split equally between World and Home Missions.

Our week-end continued on the Sunday night with a Circuit Service when our District Chairman, Rev Dr Elizabeth Smith came along and took our service for us and she also showed a D.V.D. which gave pictures of where the Earthquake had been in Haiti.  These really made people think "how lucky we all are" and a retiring collection was made for the Methodist Church "Haiti Earthquake Appeal" and we raised the sum of £254.40.

Thank you to everyone who helped in any way to make this week-end a success.
